Not in the Mood

To blog that is
Can you tell?
I've been sort of absent
Trying to read but no interest in writing
After taking a little break over Christmas
It's hard to get back into the swing of it
Then with our lovely school schedule
Finding time during the day is difficult
And I am back to being drained by the time the boys are down at 7pm
My brain is mush
Thinking is a big task
Uploading pictures and typing a post....
even BIGGER

So....where to start?

How about with Christian
My baby boy has been sick for almost a month now
I have waisted over $100 on medicine and doctor visits
There seems to be nothing the doctors can do
But the snot keeps coming
and coming
and coming
I don't know why it bothers me so bad
I am not a doctor or medicine kind of person
I have to be 1 foot in the grave before I will see a doctor
But I really thought my boy was sick and needed some help
Yet I got none
Doctors suck!
On a lighter note
Christian got tooth #6
It just barely broke the gum
So now maybe that will help the snots
And he is trying to walk
2 or 3 steps here or there
I have not been rushing him
I am trying to keep him baby as long as I can
Plus once they're walking
holy moly
With him being sick, all he wants to do is nurse
Kind of makes the weening hard
How do you tell a sick baby no?

On to Colton.....
For any readers who have not had the pleasure
of meeting my middlest in person-
He is so freaking cute!
However, he is putting me in potty training
HELL
Today he did go all day with out an accident
So tomorrow he will probably have 4 and poop twice
That's how it goes
He just doesn't seem to care

And Connor...
4 (and a half)
with an attitude of a 14 year old
He is reading
or has the stories memorized
not sure which
but either way I am super proud
He won't eat anything unless it comes with a happy meal toy
And is yelling a lot
Oh gosh, wonder where he learned that?
whoops

Can't forget Mark...
He painted the wet bar today
And I must say, I'm pretty impressed
It looks great!
He also wins HOTY award
He bought me a new washer and dryer today
I had to be a total bitch all weekend to get it
Now I have to eat, sleep, and dream laundry

Finally me...
I'm tired
Chris has been waking up at night, several times
Today I couldn't fall back to sleep
Hopefully I will sleep well tonight
I redboxed SATC2 last night
I had a solo girls night
It was good
Tomorrow is a new week and I am looking forward to it
Gonna work on all my "deeds"
you know-
working out, eating good, cleaning, laundry
all the fun stuff
No school tomorrow though
YAY!
I actually prefer no school days
how sad is that
Still seriously considering taking Colton out of his Monday school

Here's to a better mood
toodles

Lordy Lordy

Look Who's
40

This crazy guy

The man of my dreams

The love of my life

My baby daddy

My hubby
Marky-Mark

Happy Birthday Babe!!!
I love you more today than yesterday!
I hope your birthday is wonderful and you get everything you want....
but you better behave in your hotel room!

We celebrated, family style, on Sunday since Mark is traveling this week. He grilled steaks and we sang the ol' HB song to him and had cheesecake. We gave him a power washer (hey got keep the old people active ya know) and some OU crap stuff.

He is so very lucky that I like older guys. And how fortunate is he to be with a never aging 29-ish year old?! He should really count his blessings.

On a side note...
Went back to Connor's school today to drop off supplies and learn the routine of his new pre-k class at the elementary school. Yesterday we were there for over an hour standing in several lines to get his class assignment. I feel much better about the teacher and aide today. But most of the sweet, snugly stuff is gone that we experienced in preschool last year. I guess that is normal? He is very excited and ready to make new friends so he can go to their house for dinner and play a little bit afterwards. His words, all of it, not mine! I am sad and worried and excited....so many emotions.
He is the afternoon session (they go only half days here for pre-k and k), so it will be quite the adjustment for us all. He usually has quiet time during his new school hours and I will have to adjust the little boys' naps. But we will figure it out., might take a couple of weeks but we'll get there.

More tomorrow on the big first day!

Love of My Life

With this title, I could so easily be referring to Mathew McConoughey or Jon Bon Jovi,
but I'm not!
I am talking about the one who loves me back, at least most of the time....
my baby daddy
my hubs
my lova
MARK

He's given me 5 great years and 3 perfect boys and 2 stupid dogs
AND
he puts up with my crap

For year 5, the gift is wood and we try to do it on a $20 budget. Makes you have to be creative.
He gave me a baseball bat, in case I need to knock some sense into him over the next 5 years and a sign that reads "Always, Forever, and no matter What". Loved them both. I gave him a back scratcher.

I also told him he better enjoy his 5th because it might be the last. We are about to start living together again and he travels quite a bit less with his new job. We are likely to kill each other.

Over the years, relationships change and evolve. You grow individually and as a couple, you start families. Jobs become more demanding. Things change and you have to work hard at your relationship.

But nothing can make you fall more in love with your husband than watching him with his children.....and that is why you stay in love!

To my wonderful Mark
I love you more today than yesterday, but not as much as tomorrow....
unless you piss me off
Don't worry, he may look at this on occasion, but he never reads it!
I could file for divorce on this blog and he would be none the wiser.
Yet I still love him!

Seriously?!?!

So the city is doing some work in our alley (don't know if alley's are a TX thing or Dallas thing but they suck-driveways in back with alley access only-can't meet neighbors-traffic jams-fast driving cars-kids chasing balls or getting bikes out of garage). Parts of it have been closed for 2 weeks now. Of course I can't seem to remember this until I have turned into the alley and then see the trucks and/or barricades blocking my driveway.

Anywho, they did not pick up my trash this week, which I found odd since the recycling got picked up. Well I certainly can't make it another week seeing as how the lid already wouldn't close. So I called the city and they said if I could roll it out front they could have picked up with in the hour. SWEET!! I got the kids busy with a toy and ran out back to roll the stupid thing to the front. The side yard that is not fenced in was of the course the chosen route. I almost thought I wasn't going to make it past our new $4500 AC unit. It was a very tight squeeze but I got it by. The next time I looked out the window the trash can was empty.

I had told Mark all about this....I was actually bitching about it on the phone with him as I was pushing it to the front.

When he got home last night he said to me, you know this really bothers me that you had to take the trash out front. It's their job. They should have walked to the back to get it if they couldn't get the truck down the alley. You're pregnant.BLAH!BLAH!BLAH!

I said to him it was no big deal, it was empty now. He then wanted the name and numbers of the people I talked to. I just laughed!

This coming from the guy who will sit on the couch and barely glance up while I, the same pregnant one who moved the trash can, unloads all the groceries and drinks from the car without even opening the door for me. He said he could do that because he was my husband!!

And for some reason we still love them!

OK that was my bitch session for the day-actually I just thought it was funny!

4 years

Today is our 4 year wedding anniversary!! Wow, the time has flown by...4 years and 2 1/2 kids later here we are. Mark probably thinks it's been the longest 4 years of his life!! (He just see how the next 4 go by). I have put up some honey moon pictures. We got married on a cruise ship before it left out with about 80 friends and family in attendance. Then we honeymooned with 14 people. And I must say it still ranks up there as the best party and vacation EVER!!!! I would not have had any other way. The best part is we got married around 1pm and I got to wear my dress all day long! I need to go pull it out of the closet because I try to put it on every year-might be tight this year.

Headed back to the ship- Grand Cayman

Key West
This year the gift is flowers/fruit. Mark and I have a deal each year that we get $20 to spend and have to shop from the traditional category. It makes you have to be creative, especially on a budget. I will post about the gifts tomorrow...mainly because I haven't made a final decision on what to get Mark. I never procrastinate. We are going to dinner tonight, the boys are staying with Nannie. Usually we go to Terrilli's, but they are closed this year for relocation. So I just made reservations at The Keg-my fave steak place!!
If I were more organized and prepared I would have posted actual wedding pictures. See that would require knowing where the CD is or having ever taking the time in the past 4 years to scan pictures in or just create a better filing system. So I have been busy with baby's-kill me!!! Perhaps I can get to that when they all go to school.
I must also say that we plan on re-cruising next year for our 5 year anniversary. Everyone is invited. We are working on lining up childcare now (and dog care-that's just as hard to find). So mark your calendars, save your money, and celebrate with the Lenzer's!!!
I LOVE YOU MARK!!!
